What: 2018-2019 Madrigal and/or Foreigner Vocal Group
When: Auditions for JH students are Monday, April 30th for JH Students during their choir bell in the JH choir room
Auditions for HS students are Thursday, May 3rd from 2:30p - 4:30p in the HS choir room
Where: Sycamore Junior High for 8th graders
Sycamore High School for 9th - 12th+ graders
General Information:
-Students will audition with other voice parts
- JH Students should sign up on the Google Form no later than Friday, April 27th @ 3p.
-Eligibility for all students is being currently enrolled in a HS choral program ensemble. If you aren't on the list now, be on the list by the time auditions occur. Email your counselor to make this happen.
-The singing portion of the audition is intended to be easily accessible for all singers and will show your
tone quality
attention to vowels
technique
pitch/intonation
vocal independence
balance and blend
choral acting and connection to text
body engagement
-A portion will be a cappella
-Students will be evaluated on
-pitch accuracy/relationship between pitches
-ability to choral act and connect meaningfully with the text
-Beatboxers should be prepared to demonstrate the following patterns at various speeds:
