Variety Show Safety

We take safety very seriously as we approach our show.  Here are the ways that we are keeping audience, performers, and staff safe.  These guidelines have been derived from, and at times exceed, the recommendations on live performances as published by the Governor's office.

SHOWTIME
The box office will open at 5 pm.  Come to the ticket table to check-in.  Please plan to arrive no later than 5:45 pm.  It will take time to park and walk to the audience seating area.  The performance will begin at 6 pm and runs approximately 60 minutes with no intermission.

PARKING
Please park in the main lot of Blue Ash Elementary. Patrons with limited mobility can park in the area closest to the field.  Please keep those spots free for those who need them. See the attached map.

AUDIENCE VIEWING SPACES
Please bring a chair or blanket to sit on.  Painted rectangles on the grass that are spaced out at least six feet in all directions will be provided.  These spaces are limited to four people.  Groups of larger than 4 should use multiple spaces.  We will use festival seating (not assigned).

Please sit only in assigned areas.  We will have a large open space between the first row of seats and the performers. This area is mandated to follow health guidelines on live performances.   This area must be kept clear.

Should all painted areas be filled we will indicate additional seating areas with soccer cones.

RESTROOMS
Restrooms are available at Blue Ash Elementary.  See the map below to see where to access them.

FACIAL COVERINGS
Please follow the State of Ohio's directive on facial coverings: https://coronavirus.ohio.gov/static/publicorders/Directors-Order-Facial-Coverings-throughout-State-Ohio-reader.pdf

When in your audience viewing area, you will be outdoors and spaced at least six feet apart, so per the governor's guidance, masks will be optional.

Moving into and out of your area, however, masks should be worn.  Please protect our community, students, and volunteers by following this guideline.

AFTER THE SHOW
The health guidelines for the State of Ohio prohibit "close contact between performers and patrons before and after the performance". In compliance with this directive, our students have been instructed not to gather with patrons on the grounds.  This is a big change from our norm.  Choral Program students will have responsibilities to help pack away our gear before they leave.  This process takes 15-20 minutes.

Family members, please make plans to meet your students at the car or at home. Friends and supporters, please consider sending your congratulations electronically.
